Noooo, it wasn't an ice cream cake! It was a birthday cake for two little girls for their 3rd and 4th birthdays, based on the Disney movie, FROZEN! One was Elsa and the other was Anna (how totally cute!). This was really my first time trying to make fondant figures. I still haven't gotten around to experimenting with modeling chocolate, but i have a feeling that may be coming up some time soon. Anyway, here's are some photos. I hope you like them! Vanilla rainbow cake with chocolate frosting on the inside. Buttercream finish, with fondant snowflakes, with sparkly sugar crystals. I'm pretty proud of the whole thing, though I have to admit, I still have a hard time stacking cakes. I feel like i'm doing something wrong, you see how there's a "buckle" in the cake?? It's ok if you don't see it - haha!
