My Unicorn Teacher

Picture
I was super excited to make a unicorn cake and cookies for my friend's daughter who turned 5 years old this year. There are so many unicorn cakes out there!

When she asked me if I could make a brown unicorn, I thought, "Oh man - I'd have to get the fondant ear colors the same as the buttercream and cookie icing, which is another step. It won't look right if the colors don't match..."

"But unicorns are white," I said.
"They can be brown too."

OMG... 🤦🏻‍♀️ UNICORNS DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST -- THEY CAN LITERALLY BE ANY COLOR.

What a gut punch. Of COURSE I can make a brown unicorn! Just because I don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Turns out matching the fondant to the buttercream and icing colors wasn't that hard, and I'm proud to present another brown unicorn into the world.
