Beyblades Cake - return to fondant!

I really haven't done anything with fondant in awhile. Most of my cakes have been buttercream finish... i was beginning to miss my fondant fun! So my bf's nephew turned 7 this past labor day weekend. He wanted a beyblades cake! actually, i'm not sure if he wanted it, or it was his uncle's idea??? 

so... what the hell is/are beyblades?????

It's kinda like Pokemon where young pre-adolescent kids collect objects, creatures, cards, or in this case, beyblades, to battle each other in beyblade stadiums. and to use your beyblades, you need to have a launcher.

so... after some research on the internet, i decided the most feasible is to to make a cake that is a stadium, and put real beyblades on it.......... OR.... i can make fondant beyblades! it was a fantastic caking adventure that i'm sure i will repeat again - especially since now i have two very specific beyblade molds! See the slideshow below with captions that narrate the process.
